I feel we should discuss it here while the other thread is ongoing, a line of communication others can't see. I'm one for giving it to Ionia, it's kinda useless but we can call it an olive branch. |

Maokai gets it In fact, this would also make great real estate for our dinosaur zoo. Edited by Rextreff, Dec 8 2014, 09:47 PM.

Let every Faction share it (even a section for the Void) but have the very center of it being a neutral ground where the institute has an embassy. The only faction without a section of the Island would be Bilgewater since we don't want to be anywhere near that clusterf--k |

Good point but I don't see why Bilgewater shouldn't have a section of the island |

Here's what I would like to see, in order of preference: 1. We take the island. Because profit. 2. League jurisdiction. This is probably the smartest choice, because it falls within our current True Neutral alignment, and prevents anyone from downright hating us. I think. 3. Ionia gets it. Fine, whatever. Only putting this here b/c it seems like a lot of people want this. I don't really care, I just find it distasteful as a Zaunite. |

I am going to post partly in regard to arguments made by the other factions in the discussion thread about why they should get it: Honestly, I'm unsure about whether the Isles should get it. BigMike and Silencermage have made excellent points in favor of why they should get it. The issue is, a LOT of them are resorting to some threatening arguments. I can respect that they have...interesting, views of death, and that this ordeal may not have been as much of a moral decision in the way us LIVING people see it. Moreover, their military is indeed their largest strength, and they played to it. HOWEVER, the amount of vague threats from the majority of them is troublesome. I understand them wanting it, as they were one of the two original factions that earned Krocylea. Taking it out of their hands seems a bit wrong, but I have issue with how often they keep asking for it, or else we'll be a big target. I appreciate that they singlehandedly won against the Void, throwing a bit against Discord, but demanding it in exchange for not killing us all makes me hesitant, especially since Freljord isn't making those same threats (though they don't have the armies to back it up...) Ionia has become more amiable towards us as of late, and that makes me slightly more appreciative. Giving it to them isn't too much of an issue, but they didn't truly "earn" it. Freljord...screw them. They opened the Void Rift, I'm fairly sure they ran away from the Void, and according to one Isles summoner (Mike I think?), the Isles would have been fine killing EITHER side, but the Freljord stubbornly refused, and stood in their way. Moreover, I hate them under this current leadership. Not even worth considering. Giving it to the League is alright. It won't attract too much of a target, and it's neutral. Heck, no one can really argue that it's an evil decision no matter how much they pout. Keeping it for ourselves may be slightly profitable, but it's mostly a blasted piece of wasteland, and isn't of much interest. It's a "meh" option at best. |

I'm down for giving it to either Ionia or the leaugue. Keep in mind Wiz, even if they didn't open a void-portal. SI willingly DID use that nasty nexus magic to make things go boom. Imagine if there were two ones instead of just Friel. Ionia on the other hand stuck around and fought when they had multiple chances ot leave (There wasn't much Friel left to fight if I had to be honest) That and Balance, mirrors, all makes sense in the end |

Here's the thing I realized. At this rate (No matter how strong they get.) SI cannot take on the 3 of us alone. We beat them once, and if we actually throw our troops at them next time we can do it again. |

SI can't attack anyway if they did they would lose whatever they gained, have to pay reparations, and deal with the league in general. I would prefer either we take it or give it to the league. Reasons:

Quite frankly, it seems to me that giving it to the League is the best choice. SI can't say we were greedy, and Ionia wouldn't care. Also, f*** the Freljord. |

They can replenish forces like no other though, AND have Aatrox. They can afford their loses, and move on to attack again while Ionia and Freljord are broken militaristically. So yeah, they can probably take us on decently the next time, WITHOUT BEING HINDERED BY VOID BEFOREHAND. That being said, I refuse to be intimidated by this. I like them and have vouched for them numerous times, but I can't say I like the way some of them talk to us. |

Yeah, they've started to hand out thinly-veiled threats. I appreciate some of their arguments, but some of the others have been REALLY salty about us "betraying" them. It makes it so I'd rather give the island to Ionia than them. |

Lets stop being afraid of the SI. The arc ends in a week and even if they can quickly replenish their forces they wouldn't be able to muster enough forces in time to beat us, especially when both the Frel and Ionians would oppose them in any battle. Also in any battle they would be the aggressors getting them screwed over by sanctions even more. |
