Joking about how great Desmaya is aside (looking at you Wiz, CCT.) Have we actually told other factions about what's going on at Aaeea? Or is that all under wraps? |

Joke, what joke? (Kidding, I'll set it aside...for now) Hmm, I think that the discoveries made upon the islands are largely well-known by everyone else. I think that a good explanation is that going into the arc, the League made all the factions promise to tell the Institute of their findings and dealings, which everyone else would learn about (may hurt the one telling, but benefits them if everyone else is forced to give information as well). For example, all sides knew about what was happening in...Krocylea...before the votes were cast. It was common knowledge that both sides existed in a strange mirror to each other, and both would oppose going to fix the nexus, as it they could wrest control of the island from their own grasp with it. Moreover, we know that SI slaughtered the inhabitants of Neritum (though they probably couldn't hold onto that forever), and Bandle City flipped off Freljord effectively. With these examples in mind, it is safe to assume all wheelings and dealings, information and actions, are general knowledge across the board. So yes, the others most likely know. However, that doesn't mean we can't copy them slightly and create an awesome elite automaton infiltration unit... |

I actually consider this meta-gaming, try to stay out of dealings like that. Plus, Bilge was early on permitted to keep silent about finding automata from other factions. It's kinda inconsistent, really. |

I was kidding (mostly) about the robot spies. I was pretty much just joking about a Psikorp Mk II in thing regard. Seriously, that isn't really Bilgewater's style, and I'd rather take up other research projects before that anyways. I suppose you have a point about the automata we found early, but did we even inform the League about it? Can't remember. Still, just a perspective from my PoV, not necessarily the truth unless clarified by CCT or Nagg. |

This sort of information is kind of annoying to manage, because everyone knows it out-of-universe, and keeping track of "things I know but my character doesn't know" is awkward. (The "Secrets" concept from World Systems aims to strike a balance there, in that Secrets are things people suspect but can't prove.) I generally prefer to avoid creating such splits between in-universe and out-of-universe information. Actually, come to think of it, a "Secret"-esque treatment might be appropriate here. It's really, REALLY hard to keep juicy information like "they're all sentient robots, like, seriously, a whole freaking civilization of intelligent robots, wtf" completely secret—i.e., not just secret, but entirely unsuspected. As the saying goes, "three people can keep a secret, if two of them are dead." I don't see a strong reason why Nami would keep that hush-hush. Even if Bilgewater did adopt that kind of policy, it's not the most disciplined faction, and surely someone would blab about it. Still, strange-sounding rumors are different from full disclosures. I suppose we could put something like that in the post-arc vote. As for making a bunch of robot spies, it's important that automata go inert if you take them away from Nyroth. (It doesn't kill them; they "come to" again when they're returned to Nyroth. But it's as though they suddenly lose power.) This is partially to highlight the uniqueness of Nyrothian magic, and partially just a hack to avoid transforming Valoran too radically. |

That is indeed an important distinction. I would really like to note that I was mostly jesting at the robot spies, but I also see your overall point about meta-gaming. Yeah, Bilge loses its automaton army unfortunately, but hey, we are on REALLY good terms with our islanders still. I mean, we aided the Avalonians/Padonians in cleansing the berserks, reclaimed land for Emain Ablach tribes and used the land to grow crops for the mainland (maybe Avalon as well, seeing how they didn't have much), did some hunting with the Mag Mell tribes, and traded with and recruited Desmeya the Magnificent. Would be cool to see some of this stuff referenced a bit in future arcs, but it also shouldn't transform Bilge more than the whole Marai/Atlantean deal we're going through. |

I said it before, I'll say it again. I really want our islands to ally up. With the exception of Kibu, they'd all make Decent allies to protect each other |
