I'd like to note that in the document certain Summoners names are invoked. I'd like silencermage and drmigit2 to check for accuracy, and possibly have anyone else add in their own names or something you'd like to say for After Stormhaven.

i guess adding a comment about the possibility of the "monster thingy" wouldnt be nice, since it wasn't my idea, but it would be another good way to end that argument, that the others have to see what we figured out about that thing.

I would possibly add Kelt compulsively chewing on a cupcake or juicebox straw. Since that's apparently a thing Yordles do, and he is not immune to their draw. That said, it seemed perfectly fine. Kelt more than likely would be far away from the Aatrox nonsense.

But you know what I mean, right? Even "good guy" SI is weird and creepy to an outsider. A "benevolent" SI citizen would see a sick or injured Demacian and, instead of curing them, would finish killing them to end the pain, then raise them as a fellow undead, and think they had just done a wonderful favor. Isn't that right, Mike? :P

I lol'd.

I decided I really hated what I'd written, and that for time reasons I think we should go with a very brief intro. I'll finish that today with the other lore events, and send it around. Once we have the baseline established, we could have people roleplay out reactions, then link that doc in.

That sounds like a easiest way to go about it.

Here's a draft.

http://leaguefactions.net/nyroth-lore-event-vi/

I'll be adding the other factions' events in as they're available.

I just thought: What if this 'Nightmare Beast' is a creature from Nocturne's Dimension? Currently Nocturne cannot be 'killed' as the Institute of War fears what will happen if he escapes their control (If he just returns to his dimension more summoners could die as he's left free to hunt them in their dreams) it would tie in to my earlier suggestion that the Beast isn't actually killable. Having this creature become a part of Danger Roll Failures also gives us viable alternatives to 'Someone tripped over an experimental thingy and it OPENED A RIFT INTO THE COSMIC HORRORS OF THE VOID!'

I really like where this is going, and I definitely want to work with the Creature now to see what we can come up with.

Our options are currently going to Korag or Monsku and what we want to do with Althakos. Korag would give us a mindless Undead Army, Monsku would be bringing back Intelligent Undead. Althakos adds another dimension into this, a layer of Proper Evil we didn't have because we relied too much on 'VOIDPOCALYPSE!' and 'HOORAY FOR GENOCIDE!' though the last was less of a 'this would be cool' and more of a 'well shit, we don't really have any options, do we?' Monsku is cool for the ones that wanted an Undead Society or at least 'Intelligent' Undead, Korag gives us the Traditional Shadow Isles Infinite Army, and Althakos gives us a much more Spooky option we didn't have before (which I like)

Each Option has their merits and downfalls. We have no idea what Althakos is actually like when he/she/it is Bartering. We know that it 'feeds' off of the Torment of the Dead Nyrothians. We know Korag gives us a stable source of Cannon Fodder Undead but not much else. We know that Monsku has Intelligent Souls that likely could be made into Intelligent Undead but we don't really know that that MEANS yet. Korag is about the only thing we can Reliably Predict the outcome of (more of the Status Quo) but the other could shape what the Shadow Isles become in the future and the options available to it, even more than at the end of the Hextech Revolution where it was more like 'Okay, what's your general attitude?' Here, we can alter how the Shadow Isles deals with the Dead and Forces Beyond The Void. I'd call that pretty freaking cool.

I'll try to make the other options cooler, to make them more competitive with Athlakos Althakos Alkathos Adele Dazeem.

I have to say, the big giant monster thing sounds appealing...if we can sacrifice the souls of Korag to it. If we can gate off certain souls, specifically the ones in Daeyux, Neritum and Mosku. Everyone else might be fair game. Korag could become our soul farm, so to speak.

I don't think that's how it works. Cosmic Terrors from Beyond the Void are likely greedy and very influential. Plus if we could potentially sacrifice faceless workers and get both Intelligent Undead AND what's-it's-face we wouldn't exactly Sacrifice much and be really overpowered at the end of this. I wouldn't trust anyone with that kind of power (except Zaun)

I wouldn't be okay with just dumping all of our "quarry" to a big giant monster, personally. Mordekaiser's drones can be sacrificed, but people who could become Liches, collaborators and fellow equal denizens are not fair game as far as I am concerned. We beat back the void and threw Aatrox into a Kraken to keep the Shadow Isles as the big boss of the scary types, I am not okay with throwing that progress away in order to appease some big giant soul eater. More information on what we might gain from Korag or Mosku would also be helpful, or perhaps some more information on what this thing is. Still, I would much rather take the risk with Mosku than make a deal with a big greedy voidish creature.

Submit to the Void
Yeah. I'd rather just ~have~ souls that we control than maybe make a friend with some unfathomable horror from beyond who may or may not betray us if we don't constantly appease it.

Also, not entirely okay with the lore implications of "Unfathomable horror from beyond" that isn't Void. That's kind of their whole thing.
