Leblanc and Ahri are certainly not going to like this. |

I've heard that Morde relies on it too although they do intend to give compensation buffs to champs who rely on it |

Aside from Anivia and maybe Lissandra, Freljord actually kind of likes this - less percentile damage means tanks are stronger. There's literally NO ONE from Demacia complaining. (At least I don't remember seeing DFG on Lux very often. She builds more as a traditional mage, right?) |

Its for the best. They are going to actually be balancing champions NOT around a single item. Syndra is going to be fine, she barely needed it in the first place. Similar thing with Fizz. They don't plan on buffing LB, but I think that might change in the future. Ahri is going to be buffed and rebalanced and she'll be free to go back to being a kiting mage, which I personally prefer. Veigar and Annie are getting buffs most likely. Did Akali ever buy it?--if she did, I don't think she relied on it all that much. I wasn't aware of Morde ever using it >.< Overall, I think LeBlanc is going to lose out, but that doesn't mean all of Noxus is screwed. They already have a plethora of assassins to pick from, and with any luck Annie will get stronger, too, giving sort of a net zero gain, so to speak. Noxus is arguable the one that WOULD lose anything if DFG were removed (Kat uses it sometimes too), but I'm of the opinion that they won't be devastated by this change. Factions that will benefit slightly: anyone with key champions that are vulnerable to assassins, like Kog'Maw(the Void) or perhaps Anivia(the Freljord). |

From what I've been hearing on the Riot boards, DFG/ult was Morde's bread and butter to secure kills. He's in desparate need of a rework, VU, and now this, so I wouldn't be too surprised if he got the next rework (after Trist's release). GL, SI. |

Yeah I guess Lissandra bought it sometimes, but I always thought that was dumb: she should be focused around her ult and her slows, she should slow down a champ enough to Q them to death. If she's able to blow people up, it should be because they were standing still for a very long time. DFG just doesn't seem to suit her as my perceived play style of her. (I also think it was problematic in that she has all this utility and then can buy DFG to just blow people up too; makes for some balancing problems) As for Anivia, I don't think she bought it all that often. She benefits more from the item being taken out since her weakness has always been high mobility assassins(no DFG= less power for those types of champions). Remember, Fizz was a headache for us in the Freljord all arc because he was a pain for even the best Anivia players to deal with (Anivia generally being our lynchpin champion). Fizz and other champions like him get an indirect nerf because of this. And yes, Demacia is not complaining at all. In fact, this means Vayne, Quinn and Lucian get blown up less often (and Lux for that matter). |

I'm gonna guess Poppy is next, from the way they've been talking (specifically Iron Stylus) Hopefully Mordekaiser is not too far behind. |

Oh, right, Poopy's a thing. (Sorry, I've just been getting really, really upset with how much they're nerfing Sona. I used to be a sona main, and its so bad now I've basically sworn off the entire support role. It's really starting to get to me. I've also been upset with my ISP lately... I may need to take a few weeks off from league.) |

The only person that relied on DFG was Veigar. Many other mages and assassins had it as a viable build, but you'd be surprised to see that even LeBlanc had an alternate build that prioritised CDR, AP and mana regen in order to deal with prolonged skirmishes (Morello, Deathcap, Zhonya's, Voidstaff, Sorc Boots and either Mejai's or a defensive item like Banshee's, GA or the like). DFG on LeBlanc only has a 13% popularity according to probuilds (to compare, DFG on Katarina has a 16% popularity). Overall I'd say Noxus and Bandle City got shafted the most, since DFG was part of the gimmicky AP Tristana build as well. |

I'm glad they're removing DFG. Too many champions relied on it to 100 to 0 enemies with no counterplay. (Looking at you, AP Tristana) They're buffing champions like Veigar and Ahri in compensation. |

I'm so sorry, CCT. Veigar will live on though. Apparently he is near the top of the list of champions to receive a buff after DFG gets removed. This will just mean we can stack more AP and deal even more damage. The meteor will still do more damage than most ults. |

Goodnite sweet prince... ...memories of failed meta-breaking, Veigar hell unleashing, and... well, I don't really play any other champs that use you... I played Twisted Fate for like, two weeks once... |

It's My Town Now

I'm not really that sad to see it go If I'm honest. It just promotes unhealthy and toxic play styles. Cause I mean yeah it's hilarious to DFG someone then watch them pop but it just makes whoever got DFG'ed go "We'll fuck me I stepped an inch to close and got hit with half of that mage's rotation, but still got exploded. That's fun" The only people I see it really effecting is Ahri, Veigar, and LB(And apparently Morde but he's getting a total rework soon anyways so not sure if that counts?). For Ahri you just increase the amp on her taunt so people just need to dodge the taunt to not get blown up. For Vei just up his ult damage at rank one maybe? (He'll probably still pop everyone) I don't know about LB though. Maybe buff Sigil damage? Either way DFG being gone is honestly just a small change IMO. |

Honestly, I wouldn't mind the changes if Riot actually gave out meaningful compensation buffs to the majority of mages that used dfg. But it's Riot, so it worries me <.< |

I know some TF builds will suffer for sure, but I'd like to think he's still kinda strong. |
