Shon-Xan was relatively simple when compared to Hextech and Nyroth, and I believe going back to a 2-faction arc would be taking a step backwards in terms of depth. That being said, I'm up for the 12 faction arc

I think four factions is a good number. Three would be a bit odd for tournaments and Featured Matches…though potentially also easier to manage. Three factions leads to three possible matchups: 1 v 2 2 v 3 1 v 3 Whereas four factions gives six possible matchups: 1 v 2 1 v 3 1 v 4 2 v 3 2 v 4 3 v 4 That's pretty significant when you're talking about a weekend of matches. The main problem with three factions in terms of FMs is that you lack symmetry in weekend matches. Even that could be a pro, in my opinion: it might be easier to get people together if you can frame it as, e.g., "This weekend is the Noxus weekend. Noxus will fight Demacia on Saturday and Piltover on Sunday." You could then have three FM sets per month, one for each of the three factions, and a fourth tournament weekend at the end of the month. With only three factions, we could have the low-tier preliminary matches on Saturday to select one finalist, and then have the other two fight it out in a high-tier match to select the other finalist. It would also be easier to organize pick-up matches with only three factions, because the playerbase would be less divided. On the downside, I suspect that some people skip out on arcs because their favorite faction isn't involved. If so, then even if we avoid dividing up the playerbase as much as with four factions, we might also have a smaller playerbase overall, partially negating that advantage. |

It would be interesting to see a shurima vs zaun, but both side could do diplomacy and gain the support of other factions. I hoped something interesting would come out of ionia picking piltover for that cooperation thing in the last arc but it was forgotten

Sort of like how Europe worked in the world wars? Everyone was allied in some way or another, so once one war broke out everyone was at war. |

Picking Pilt? Wat? I don't think we've come to a consensus on what we choose if there are to be 4 factions in the next arc. It might be Bandle for all we know

there was a vote for ionia at the start of nyroth, to go it alone, with pilt, with bandle, or with demacia if i remember right, and pilt won that vote, it was in a post, but it was totaly forgotten and never realy had a lore impact. maybe all it did was to give ez to ionia i think. Wait, we're not going with Pilt? o.O Maybe Pilt or Bandle, those seem to be the likely choices. |

EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY TO TORTURE, MAIM, AND DESTROY

I want Freljord to be in the next arc. I feel that the Freljord is OP, and Liss should be allowed to complete her research project for world dominance- I mean... a new energy power Also, who is the current leader of the Freljord? I remember having a poll, but I don't remember who won.... So please, faction leaders, let the Freljord show its dominance one more time! (The Freljord also wants to show people that yes, we did open one teensy weensy void portal. And yes, some void monsters did emerge to try to kill everyone. But we want to show people that we do not agree with the Void, and we are not evil. Thank you.)

*******Unless the watchers are secretly Void, in which case Lissandra does agree with the Void, but no one knows that for sure anyway... |

Currently, Lissandra was voted in as the leader of the Freljord. Ashe is still Queen and such, but per the Nyroth arc votes Lissandra was placed in charge. However, there will be some end-of-arc voting on deciding a leader for the Freljord. Once again, Ashe will ultimately remain the official Queen, but power could shift drastically in support of one of the other 2 potential leaders. During the Winter's Claw vs Avarosan featured matches a while back, the Winter's claw proved victorious and will be getting a +15% boost to that vote (Avarosan lose 15% in the vote for losing, and since Lissandra played both sides she doesn't get any negative effects). |
