Apologies for the delay. I decided that the discussion/revision process had gone on a bit too long, so I decided to just jot something down, inspired by Montesque's larger piece.

It's a simple vote, but I think a weighty one. I'm also very much interested to read other suggestions that you might put forward for Nami's consideration.

Narrative: So, what are your thoughts on League's lore?
Me: I think the lore for League of Legends should have a fucking League of Legends in it.
Narrative: Thanks for interviewing! :)

...Oh. Right.

If this is the wish of the Nyrothians, I think we should support them. We should also extend an olive branch to Ionia and offer to help them manage the Southern Confederation: if certain sub-factions of that region don't get along, they could always return to living on islands.

I don't see any reason to try and stand in the way of the Ionians doing their thing. They were, what, the only city-state that never tried to pick a fight with us this arc?

Plus, they've proved their considerable strength so far, which will only be added to with the Mega-Nexus, if they vote to repair it (And let's be honest, who would vote no to that?). I'd rather have them on our side than the random yordle population of Argyre, the Krocyleans (who already owe us for helping fight off SI), and the Scherians who I honestly don't even really remember. Was that the robot island?

I could go either way on the ratting them out thing, though. I don't see it winning us many points with Ionia, but we also just took out the Shadow Isles+Aatrox, and our military is no joke if the Northern Federation decides to come at us.

I believe Bilge should attempt to make the confederation, while also keeping Ionia out of it as much as possible. Then after the creation we worked with the southern islands on their own accord to joining the confederation and changing the name from the Northern Confed. to the Island Confederation. Once we do that work with Nyrothians in the sky and the main land and try to come to a deal there.

I'm still a little torn about about it, but I think I'll decide to go with the northern federation.

To put it simply,I voted for the northern federation because I thought it would be a neat idea. If they DIDN'T get a patron, they would probably rebel against Ionia, and that would be one weird day.

I'm saying we support them for two reasons. One, if the Northern Confederation succeeds without our support we have an independent faction on Nyroth that we have no influence in. Two; the people of these islands are outright saying that they don't want Ionia to lead them, if they don't make this Northern Confederation right away they may eventually attempt to overthrow Ionia and then we could end up with a war on our hands and that's no good.

It will give us a larger foothold on a global scale not to mention how good do you think we will look if the Northern Federation that we helped make is an awesome place to live while the Ionia lands suck.

We've GOT to have GOLD
Muahahaha. Oh boy this proposition.

The islands have directly stated that this is would not be a good thing for them at all. They don't want to be lumped in with this mainland Ionia thing, and them being forced into it would be bad for everyone all around. Having a northern Nyroth could one day cause strife, but lumping them in will DEFINITELY cause strife. We swing it like that, and the league would have to be brain-dead to NOT listen to us.

And because we supported them, they'll of course love us. And then we'll have a formidable alliance as Bilgewater and the Northern Alliance... That's hilarious though. Remember when Bilgewater was a tiny port with minor control over nearby islands? We're a tiny port with a bulk of a continent as our allies and legally under our control.

So... the cost is that Ionia hates us more. Not sure WHY they would. After all, we're just saving them from a civil war...
Plus, they've never liked us. At most, we had a truce of "stay the hell out of each other's way" at the very very end. Ionia and Bilgewater have NEVER gotten along, and we've only decided not to be dicks to each other.
If the two factions ever met again, I'm pretty sure there won't be any holds barred once again.

I'm all for this Confederation. Seriously, if that's what the people of the islands want, why the hell shouldn't we give it to them? Ionia might understand, they might not, but I can't imagine them going out of their way just to ensure that every single island is under their thumb...even if they did, unless they go to war with both SI and Freljord behind them, they don't have nearly the strength to stop us.

I suppose they might get mad, since they won't have direct pull on the mainland as much, but I think we could tell them we don't care what they do with anyone else.

Hell, even if the League gets a bit annoyed, not only do they have far more pressing concerns, but Bilgewater has proven to be honorable and fair throughout the arc (food for everyone!), I can't imagine them getting, say, Demacia and Noxus in to stop it.

I think if we own a commonwealth that's a good place to start a dinosaur park.
