So today, a bunch of us had fun with a 1v1 tournament (since I got bored and no one was really interested in a Factions game) and I just wanted to make this post about possibly doing more in the future. We had two separate "tournaments", with the first having 4 people, and the second having 8, both in a single elimination style game. Basically, I did a single elimination tournament, and the winners from the first round fought in the second round, and so on. Definitely saw some weird matchups go the opposite way you'd expect (Renek vs Nami, Annie vs Cait), and overall, it was interesting to see what people brought out. I just want to say that this was fun watching you guys pick different champs, and it was fun for me to cast it, because I definitely need those communication skills for my career. I am thinking about doing a tournament on a larger scale, with a few prizes (these tournaments had a mystery skin for the winners), and if anyone wants to ever help me develop a tourney (with or without prizes), let me know. I don't want to focus all of the attention away from Factions, but when the day is going slow and people don't like doing intermission matches, I think this is a nice change of pace for bragging rights! |

Bragging rights? 1v1 tournament? I assume snowdown showdown rules? Seems interesting. Oh, and no pink wards on Howling Abyss

Shiny. I like it. Maybe I'll start setting these up when it's a slow night... |

Seems like a cool idea. I concur that having a tournament go when the matches are slow would be a good way to bond/play interesting matchups. |

SR Map, and played by the rules Riot implemented when they still had the idea and map for it. Win Requirement 100 cs or First Blood or First Tower kill All items, champions, and summoner spells are acceptable, and it is played in Blind Pick. I do like the idea of using Draft Pick to ban away champions, but this cause for a chance to do counterpicking, so I decided to remove the bans and just do it in Blind, where anything can happen. And the reason for going in SR is so you can go back and buy/heal, which is what Riot also implemented. Trinkets haven't really played a major role in these games, because games don't last past 6 usually. I think the quickest game was level 3, and the longest was level 11. Yea, it's a good way to bond with your fellow Factioneers (or be butthurt, whichever you prefer), and it really is cool watching some of the stuff come out. Ended up seeing a Lux being beat by AD Annie, and a Blitz almost beating a Syndra under HER tower, so yea, anything is possible. Edited by Tofuology, Feb 24 2015, 09:19 PM.

To stroke my ego and make me feel less bad about my failure, I'd like to shamelessly take credit for both of these. Naw, but I'm totally down for more of these, if only to show the glory that is blitzcrank. I'm tempted to only pick blitz if you do another. |

I'd like this too. Although I'm pretty sure the winner of the tournament would be either Rust or Nagga. |

Who knows. A lot of factioneers haven't gotten to play their mains this arc (exceptions being people like myself and aniv,) and so their skill level with a particular 1v1 champion might be a lot higher than you think. And Nagga might run like Mundo or something, so there's that. |
