So, I'm a Shuriman summoner so, granted, I'm a little biased here, but letting Piltover pick the Howling Abyss seems almost 'early victory'-y to me. They were almost guaranteed a solid win from that. And they did. They beat the hell out of everyone. I'm not saying it wasn't hard. I am saying that they secured in 6 games what took my faction 20+ games with a much, much higher chance of success. |

With the advent of the snowball, Shurima and Noxus had perfectly plausible chances at winning. Hard engage is significantly more powerful on HA than people give it credit for. Amumu snowball into ult, or Leona snowball into q is a pretty much guaranteed engage. |

First of all, the Mark/Dash spell is a thing that exists, and both Shurima and Noxus could have abused that spell to absolutely destroy us. Second of all, I was there for the last 2 Shuriman games of that weekend, and you guys had to overfill your Bronze slot with a Silver, so we got an additional ban against you guys. We banned Xerath and Sivir, and you guys had to underfill your Gold slot with another Silver. Everything was basically staged against Shurima that game, and we still had some close calls thanks to Mark/Dash (we got aced at one point, but since they lacked an ADC, they couldn't capitalise that advantage that well). For the third game of that evening, you guys had to forfeit because you couldn't fill your Bronze slot and you can only overfill once per day. So that was a free win for us. You guys could've easily went 2-1 or 1-2 against us that day if more players had showed up (and used the Mark/Dash spell more). Since I wasn't around for the Sunday matches, I have no clue what happened with Noxus, but I assure you that our victories were exclusively due to Shurima dropping the ball on Saturday. Ah, my mistake. Sorry. I'm not the best at eyeballing things and all I saw was the 6-0 and the amount of pokes Piltover possess. I apologize for my lameness. |

No worries, I'm just kinda eyeroll-y about this because everyone in Piltover was bemoaning the victory of HA, so sure we'd get absolutely destroyed by Mark/Dash, and in the end we got really easy (and avoidable) victories against Shurima. |

For the record, Piltover is still undeniably strong on HA. Even with Mark/Dash, Pilt's poke is relentless. Even when a successful engage occurs, the engaging team is generally so low that any gains they receive are rather costly. Half the time we managed to get a good fight off, we either didn't have the people or the minions (or both) to really push anything. In the second Shurima game, I honestly felt like we were just throwing ourselves at you repeatedly in the hopes that we could stay alive long enough to do something. Piltover's still at a pretty significant advantage on HA. It takes some serious coordination and cooperation to be able to pull off the amount of hard engage a team needs to take them down on that map. |

Just like the serious coordination and cooperation it takes to be able to pull off a hard disengage vs a hard engage team when they can come at you from various angles? (Disclaimer: This was meant as a joke. It's funny. I'M FUNNY I SWEAR.) |

Uh oh. Look. Disengaging from a complete and total catch-out flank is hard. So is engaging on a poke/disengage team when you have one avenue of attack. These are both situations you can even compare to real-life situations to realize that they're crappy places to be. |
