Question About Intermission Rosters

I was curious how intermission rosters are handled. Is it just the primary champions for the faction, or can they use secondary and tertiary champions as well?

And if the latter is the case, how are champions like Sona, who appears as a secondary in Demacia and Ionia, handled in champ select?

So essentially if two factions with the same secondary champ play against each other, the first faction that picks that champ get's them for the game, I think. You also can't use a secondary or tertiary champ if they're a core for the faction you're playing against. That's what I remember at least, I could be completely wrong.

Last Intermission, there were some champions that favored one faction over another. For example, Corki would play for Piltover, but if they were against Bandle City, he would ONLY play for BC.

Edit: just checked the roster page and this is indeed the case. If they are allied, they are available unless against their primary faction. If they are "Allied" with more than one faction, then it's first pick, first serve. For example, Amumu is Primary to Shurima, but Allied with both SI and BC. If SI and BC are against each other, the first to pick Amumu is the one who gets him. If it were BC vs Shurima, Shurima gets him and BC does not.

I don't think the intermission page has been updated yet but they seem sensible enough rules to carry over.

A lot of times it gets talked out in chat beforehand, if not then just go with whoever is more core or (if they're both secondary for example) whoever picks first. But generally talking it out quick is best.

I hate to do this to everyone, but it isn't a system of who picks first. These are the rosters we are using for intermission as of last weekend. The site hasn't been updated for intermission yet, nor have the intermission rosters been updated to include new champions (TK for Bilge, Ekko for Zaun). These lists have allied champions that are primary towards another faction, so for example Sona is allied to Ionia but primary to Demacia, meaning that in an Ionia vs Demacia conflict she would be on the Demacian side. Against every other faction she would be playable for Ionia.

For now guys, use the link Poncho has provided for you. We are currently reviewing the intermission roster, so we should have the community look over it soon!

The intermission rosters link on the page poncho provided goes back to the old intermission roster. Just letting someone know.

It doesn't have the champions who were added during this arc, specifically Tahm Kench and Ekko.

The new roster should be presented today or tomorrow for community review. With the addition of new champs, there are also some swaps we've made (when it comes to who gets priority).

Since Kindred will be released in a week with patch 5.20, will they be included in this update?

I reserve the right to be loudly opinionated on subjects I am completely ignorant of

I had hoped to post the draft of intermission rosters this morning for community review and feedback this morning. However I am being delayed a bit and that doesn't look like it will be possible. I will however make sure to get it posted by this afternoon (although for the eastcoasters it might be the evening).

Probably not since Rito decided they're spooky mysterious "concept" characters that may or may not actually exist, but definitely don't live in or have particular loyalty to any existing faction, or even any direct connections to even a single other character.

I think the only way to bring them in that could be remotely related to their official lore is hostile against the Shadow Isles.

Kindred is updated into the new intermission rosters. Whether they're released or not doesn't really matter, we kinda already decided where they will be.

We also added some of the recent champion releases (Tahm Kench, Ekko, Bard) to get them some gameplay.

Remember, this is intermission, so some of these champs may not be seen if their faction is in a real arc.
