This is a story I have written. Please enjoy it. Or not. I don't care. ~ Geoffrey was like your everyday average Bilgewater citizen. He did stuff like other people of Blue Flame would do, like whittle canes as a hobby, but there was one marked difference between him and other people of the lands in the Guardian's Sea. Geoffrey didn't have an eye. He always wore two eye patches perfectly parallel to each other, which made him look kind of silly. This isn't really important to the story though. Some mornings Geoffrey goes to the customs office to eat breakfast, because for some reason sometimes the customs office had breakfast. He walked past the crowds of people on the Slaughter Docks, as per usual. This may however not be so good an idea, since the Slaughter Docks didn't seem like such a nice place, though Geoffrey wasn't scared. Walking nonchalantly next to immediate danger was nothing new to him. What was new to him was the smell. Recently it's started smelling somewhat of pine. Maybe it was all the pine trees that were being planted recently in Rat Town. Geoffrey thought that perhaps this was to make the Slaughter Docks stop reeking of death and blood all the time. Or maybe not. I can't tell what other people are thinking. Now actually Geoffrey was on a mission. His job was to go to the lighthouse and make sure no spooky monsters or the like were hiding there. Usually this wasn't a problem though. Most of the time it was just a wharf rat, but the light house managey person was quite old and didn't like wharf rats. It was about dawn when Geoffrey finally arrived, and he saw his worst enemy. A pack of voracious razorfins were attempting to catch a voracious pecking crow that was stood up on a sign. This sign was actually a sign made of wood, the type of sign a poor sign maker would make. Now on this sign was a message stating that no razorfins were allowed on the cliff. You can tell these razorfins are real rude dudes since they're not following the clearly stated directions on this sign that someone hiked all the way up the cliff for. However these razorfins were no match for Geoffrey. Geoffrey saw these vile beasts, because, you see, he had four eyes and could see quite well. He was also a cat. "Meow." The razorfins quaked in their metaphorical boots, particularly shaken. They could not stand up to the fearsome might of Geoffrey. The pack of razorfins all jumped off all the cliff into the water that was very clearly below the cliff. Soon after, a shout could be heard from one of Bilgewater's quadragenarians. "Oh my! This cat saved my light house! Praise!" Thus was the story of how a cat came to be one of the most highly decorated soldiers of the war. |
