A young acolyte bows as you approach. "Greetings, Summoner. I confess your face is yet unfamiliar to me. May I ask your name?"
He opens the register book and wets a quill. Will you sign?

When Summoner Vetilac walked into the small room assigned to her for her oath, she was honestly expecting a little bit more. After all, this did decide her allegiance for the remainder of this dispute. Although a few summoners had warned her to not expect much, especially since she was unranked. Vetliac closed her eyes; she had thought a long time about this. She had read the Faction Proposals for their share in this dispute many times and even now, she wavered between the two factions she believed had the best claim to the dispute: Bilgewater and the Freljord. Not that it would be too much of a difference; the two factions were on the same side after all...

The shuffling of the Summoner taking her oath startled Vetilac from her thoughts. Invariably, her back straightened. It cracked. Her face became slightly red.

"Ahem, sorry about the delay. Ah yes! Alright." The Summoner pulled out a book that looked like a captain's journal. She glanced down at it nervously. It was unmistakable; the serpent coiling around a Bilgewater Cutlass blazed bronze even though it was clearly old. Speaking of which, she thought, I need to buy a new one.

"Do you, Summoner Vetilac, swear to uphold the Tenets of the Institute of War? To report any misconduct, tamperings, or other activities that would interfere with the processes of the Institute of War?"

"I do." Her heartbeat started to beat quicker.

"Do you swear to uphold Honor, Dignity, and Respect for your opponents, no matter what the outcome as stated in the Summoner's Code?"

"I do." Her nervousness was rising.

"And do you promise to uphold the Virtues of your chosen Faction of Bilgewater, and to represent them in the most dignified manner possible?"

Vetilac opened her mouth but no sound came out. The Summoner in front of her raised his eyebrow. She could feel the Bilgewater summoner beside him glare at her, even though she couldn't see him.

No, Bilgewater is the faction. There's no going back. If you go back on your own morals and ideals, then you have no validity. Vetilac closed her mouth, swallowing. Her eyes hardened with determination.

"I do."

Her voice rang out in the room with clear traces of wavering. Her heart was now beating faster than Darius with his basketball and dang could that Champion dribble.

Silence.

"Then by the power invested in me, I affirm your Allegiance to Bilgewater for the remainder of this dispute."

The captain's journal emitted a sea green smoke as the bronze symbol of Bilgewater glowed. The tendrils of the smoke gathered above it, creating the Seal of Affirmation.

Seeing it, Vetilac knew that she had burned all the boats behind her.

"Well, I'll be seeing you on the Fields, Summoner." The Summoner who took her oath swept out of the room with the journal.

The Bilgewater summoner leaned in to her. She bristled, edging away, the smell of salt water passing by her.

"Well, Summoner. You best be ready. The seas don't take those who don't have the confidence and perseverance. No sitting on the fence for you this time." He smirked, twirling his Cutlass in his hand, and strode out the door.

Damn him. She hoped that not all Bilgewater summoners were like him. Well...she was one now, so... Vetilac shook her head, clearing her thoughts. Cutlass is important, inner existential crises later. But first, she needed a good drink.

The ending bit is a bit confusing. You're saying you need a good drink, and you ask for water like wat.

Yes, he means in the Cantina. And to be fair, this is surprisingly coherent for Rex, he's usually further out in cloudcuckooland than even Deon or Crzy. It takes a bit of practice to interpret his sage advice :P

Gotch'all! Or Gotcha'll. Which looks better?

I'd say Gotch'all. It separates the syllables a little better.
