Hello! I've got another story. It's about Vinnie, after Depths of Divinity. It's neato, I think at least. Anyway, here ya go:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Vinnie walked back to his caravan, his mind started to wander to yesterday, and today. He didn’t know what to think about what happened. Should he be mad at himself that he had used his magic to hurt someone, or happy that he proved he can stand up for himself? Angry at Cyrus for helping Red when the problem was gone, or sad, because he was too young to understand the situation? His head was swimming with thoughts, most of which he just wanted to ignore. He had been blown up by Red not just about an hour ago, and he wanted to relax for a bit. Without much thought, he continued walking towards his home.

When he arrived, he was more tired, his head buzzing with thought even more. What I need is a nice bottle of beer, and a nap. The Cyborg climbed the small steps into his wagon, and realized that he had drunk all his alcohol before he left, out of fear of it being stolen. The bottles still lay all over the floor. Great, just...great. With a sigh, he sat down at around the middle of his home, leaning up against one of the walls. Without a thought, he held his hand up, and began to pool in Emotional Magic, the magic taking the color of a deep purple, suggesting calmness. Vinnie always did this whenever he was stressed. The magic seemed to calm him, just staring at it and it’s swirling actions seeming hypnotic. For about 10 minutes, he tried to ignore his thoughts and stare into the magic, but they wouldn’t go away. They kept annoying him, bugging him to no extent. Finally, giving up, he discontinued the flow of magic, and the arcane energy went away. Well, I won’t get these thoughts to go away by ignoring them. Looks like I gotta think em out, and such. Standing up, he crossed the wagon and walked to the side farthest from the entrance. There stood a small cabinet, with a couple drawers at the bottom of it. Bending down, he pulled out the drawer. Inside, there were a couple miscellaneous items, but also inside were a couple notebooks. Pulling one out, with a pencil, he shut the drawer, and took his previous spot on the floor. He opened to the first page, and started writing. He drew a line down the middle of the page, and at the top of one side, ‘Possible actions before Red found out”. On the top of the right side, he wrote, ‘Possible Actions After Red found out’. Going back to the left side of the page, he began writing all the possible actions he could have taken before Lionel cast his spell and revealed what he had done.
After a couple minutes, he had written a couple things down. After that, he started at the top thing he wrote, and thought about what would have happened if he had taken that action instead. First thing on the page was, “Send him back to the IoW with magic’. Without any thought, he crossed it out. Just no. Next on the page, ‘Take time to convince Red that I wasn’t working with Memories’. Let’s see...That COULD have worked, but Red didn’t seem like he was willing to listen. I think it is safe to say that, no matter what I said, he would think the amulets were in power over me no matter what. It would have been time-eating, and might not have even worked at the end of the day. Everyone would have been willing to shoot us both at the end of it. Good idea, but not possible I think without lots and lots of time, that no one wanted to waste. He crossed it off. Next one...Tell the truth without Lionel doing his magic. This probably wouldn’t have worked, because Red would have shot me then and there after I confessed. He shot me fast after Lionel revealed what I had done. Not possible, I’m afraid. Another one crossed off. Looking at the list, he found out that there was nothing left on the left side.

Going to the right side, he only saw another 3 options. First one was ‘Flee and wait it out’. This could have been a good idea, but...where to? Down the hall, I would have been shot in the back, too open. Into a room? No, that would have been waiting for him to break down the door, then the former still applies. It just seems like a bad idea. Maybe the others could have held him back? I have a feeling that he wouldn’t listen to them, and I would still be sent to the IoW at the end of the day, like I was at the end of my other choice. Sadly, not realistic. That option was stricken off. Next one, Try talking it out...why do I feel that this wouldn’t work at ALL after he found out I had taken the Void medallions into my head? Maybe before, if he actually was willing to listen. After, though...I don’t think that was an option. Vinnie struck out another option. Finally, listen to Cyrus, and try to calm Red down. Interesting...could it have worked? I mean, on one hand, with enough time and effort, it COULD have maybe worked. Yet again, Cyrus didn’t understand the situation at all. He was hell-bent on helping us both, and wanting us to not kill each other. Did he know that Red wasn’t about to let me contain the memories within my mind, as a first line of defense? I don’t think anyone else knew, because I didn’t really tell anyone. Could it have been really that simple? Did I really have to hurt him with my magic? Could I just have helped Cyrus and try not to kill Red? Was that my only choice of action? He clutched at his head. So many questions, so many variables, so many things that he didn’t know. With a quick motion, he summoned the magic again, staring into the deep purple.

My magic didn’t do anything helpful. Whenever I seemed to use it, the little I did, everyone didn’t appreciate it, His mind flashed back to Rin, and Red, am I just out of touch with my magic? Did I use it wrong? At the beginning, I just wanted everyone to get along. That didn’t work out, though. After that, I got rid of Red’s fear, so he would get rid of the statue and crab. That wasn’t probably the best idea, but yet again, I DID drink a whole bottle of Rum, and that stuff tends to go through me fast, it seems. I just...don’t know. It’s all very complicated. So many things that could have gone differently, so many variables, so many changing things...ugh, this is hurting my head. I wish I had time to grab my bag of stuff before I came back to the Institute. With that, he sat there, staring deeply into the magic. After awhile, he got bored staring into the calmness. Daring to test his magic, he increased his mana flow, and the magic seemed to become more concentrated. Is this it? I feel that I can push it even more, if I could just increase the flow of mana. With that, he increased his mana flow even more, and the magic seemed more purple than possible. I wanna see how far I can push this, how can I? Thinking of all the possible ways to do this, he finally reached a conclusion: use his own emotions to power the spell. With a bit of concentration, his own emotions were now powering the spell, the magic seeming to be violently swirling in the cyborgs palm. Knowing that he could go further, Vinnie pushed more of his emotion into the spell, and it swirled even more. He had seemingly created a mini vortex of magic within his palm.
This kept going on and on, Vinnie increasing the magic little by little, until it seemed that he had created a tornado of Emotion magic. I can push it just a bit further, just keep focusing! He pushed with all of his mental capabilities. This pushed the small vortex a bit too much, as the spell seemed to now be out of his control. Damnit! I should have just stopped! Too late, he realized, he tried to dispel his little tornado, that was growing in size. This didn’t stop it, however, and it grew even bigger. Vinnie stood up fastly, and the tornado was at his knees. Panicking, he put more effort in stopping the spell. Surprisingly, the dispel had actually done some work at stopping the spell, but all it did was stop it from growing. Bottles of alcohol were starting to rumble around a bit. When will it stop?! The cyborg’s wish came true, but not in a way that he expected. The spell finally came to a halt, but first, it kind of exploded. This small blast pushed Vinnie off his feet, into the cabinet in the back of the wagon. In his suit, this made a dull thud, but he felt it pretty well. He hit the floor, and all was finally still. Augh...what happened? I should have stopped the spell way sooner. He sat there, staring at his legs. Suddenly, he felt a sniffing noise. Wha? Looking up, the site was a very interesting one.

In front of him was a wolf. Not a normal wolf, however. It looked...transparent. He had the color of a light blue all over his fur, which didn’t seem natural. It seemed to be friendly enough, as apparent to it sniffing Vinnie. What the hell? How did a wolf get in here? Will it attack me? I hope not. Please don’t hurt me, please! I’m not that bad of a guy, I swear! The wolf didn’t seem to be alarmed at all, even though it was in a strange environment. Finally, the wolf stopped sniffing, and started panting, his tongue sticking out of his mouth. Gradually, he turned a nice yellow. That’s even more wierd...wait, isn’t that the color Emotion magic turns when you’re happy or something? Is the dog made of emotional magic? Wait...did I create this creature with that spell that went haywire? Is such a thing possible? It seemed real enough. The dog kept standing there, sort of like it expected something to happen.
Finally, Vinnie spoke. “U-uhh...h-hello there...wolf, uh, how are you?” The wolf didn’t change at this, just kept panting. Reluctantly, he held out his robotic hand. The wolf sniffed it, and started licking it. It felt weird, to say the least. It felt like a real tongue, but not. “So, uh, I think I created you...and that’s a bit weird, so I think I am your master. All pets need a name, so yours shall be Wolfy.” Wolfy seemed to be happy with this, and let out a hearty woof. Slowly, he stood up. Looking at the walls of his wagon, it seemed to be very dark. It must have turned night while I was distracted. Vinnie didn’t need sleep, so that wasn’t very concerning. “So, what do ya wanna do? People are busy sleeping, so there isn’t much we can do.” Wolfy seemed to be a bit sad upon hearing this. Without a word, he laid down, and put his nose over his paws. Almost instantly, he fell asleep. Not knowing what to say, the cyborg sat down next to the Emotional magic wolf, and stroked his fur, waiting for morning to come.

I liked it. I think it's hilarious how much dissonance there is between Red and Vinnie. Good work sir, in both this and the campaign!
